Getting ready to race

Interested in trying your hand at the F400 series? Then you need a technique (chassis), a Honda GX390 internal combustion engine and an application for participation.

Now we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the rules, they will help you act faster and redo less in the process. Every year we hold 10 meetings among athletes, but before they start, you need to be sure that the kart meets the requirements and technical regulations.

The main aspects of compliance testing:

• The engine must have a F400 dynamometer seal on which your championship car will be tested. Based on the results of the check, a certificate is issued and a seal is placed with a seal. This is necessary to check compliance with the technical regulations. By the way, before running on the stand, you should not try to “pump” the engine, this can damage the stand, for which you will have to pay;

• You can use exclusively chain drives with a pitch of 428. In this case, the drive sprocket must be with 17 teeth, and on the axle with 45;

• The total weight of the pilot with equipment should not exceed 185 kg;

• A transponder holder must be installed;

Arrivals

The race day starts early in the morning at 7. First of all, it is necessary to prepare all documents, payments for participation and other services are carried out. Cards receive numbers, transponder owners, that is, the races will not start before all the formalities and bureaucratic issues are settled.

Inspectors check the condition and readiness of the equipment, if necessary, you will be informed of the changes that need to be made for admission. Many minor flaws are usually eliminated in the last minutes before the start. During this time, a briefing is still held for all participants in order to briefly repeat all the rules of conduct and the race that must be observed.

The classic race includes 3 stages. At first, the athletes just practice to get to know the course, then a qualifying lap is held and after the 3rd time trial.

The duration may vary, but the classic version is as follows:

• 1 round lasts 75 minutes and requires mandatory 2 driver changes;

• Round 2 takes 75 minutes and requires the same two substitutions;

• Round 3 lasts 120 minutes. In this case, it is necessary to replace the pilots four times.

After the events are completed, the cards are closed in the sealed park. There are quick checks for compliance with technical standards, in addition, engineers can selectively take any car and remove the motor for a run-in on a dyno. After all checks, the property is returned to the team.

As a rule, the race ends no later than 17.00 with the distribution of prizes to everyone who deserved the award.
